Dover’s Historic Maison Dieu Wins National Lottery Support

We are absolutely delighted to confirm that the Maison Dieu, Dover has been awarded a first round pass from the Heritage Lottery Fund for a £4.7m bid to restore the Grade I Listed Building and reinstate the fantastic William Burges interior.

Leading a multi-disciplinary team including Haverstock, Rena Pitsilli Graham Architects, Hirst Conservation, and DR Nolans, we have been working with Dover District Council, Dover Town Council and the Dover Society for the last couple of years to; prepare an Outline Business Case, successfully apply for the upgrading of the building from Grade II* to Grade I, and, prepare a round one bid for £4.7m to the HLF. Alongside this Rena Pitsilli Graham Architects and Haverstock have prepared a comprehensive Statement of Significance for the site.
