We are delighted to be working with Northampton Borough Council and the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC) to produce a landscape plan, policy guidance and programme of works for the Foot Meadow in the centre of Northampton.
The Foot Meadow is an important piece of historic green space in the town centre that is said to have been used by troops posted at the nearby castle which dates back to the Norman conquest. The Foot Meadow today is an island adjacent to the Northampton Enterprise Zone and is part of the Waterside Regeneration area. The site is likely to see a big increase in footfall over the coming years as development nearby comes to fruition including a new University Innovation Centre. Our work will establish ways to sensitively enhance the Foot Meadow in advance of neighbouring development and provide guidance for further long-term investment.
