EVENT: Acle Businesses invited to attend a meeting on 21st February 2013 at 6pm

We are pleased to let you know that the Village Team is busy developing projects and initiatives that can be implemented that will help to support and enhance the local economy. Once we have developed these ideas further we will start to distribute this information which we hope will be in about March 2013.

One of the key initiatives to be progressed is creating a group that brings local businesses together to provide information, support and hopefully help to enhance their prospects. Please find further details outlined below regarding a meeting we are holding to discuss this further. Please feel free to pass this information to any businesses in and around Acle, we would like as many businesses to attend as possible.

Dear Sir / Madam

Supporting businesses in Acle

We are instructed by Broadland District Council to produce a strategy for Acle as part of their recession mitigation programme.  The objective of the work is to identify projects and initiatives that can strengthen and support the local economy during these difficult times.  We have been working on this project for a number of months with a range of local stakeholder organisations such as the Parish Council and Academy; further details of the work can be found at http://www.inghampinnock.com/acle-village-masterplan/

One of our main recommendations is to create a group that brings local businesses together to facilitate discussion, joint working and joint marketing opportunities.  These sorts of groups exist in towns and villages across the UK and are proven to be an important way for local businesses to support one another.

We are still testing ideas for a local business group in Acle but our initial thoughts are that it could provide:

  • Information and opportunities for business support funding and rate relief programmes currently available
  • Local purchasing agreements where member businesses seek to buy goods and services from one another
  • Links to other local business groups such as in Aylsham and Wroxham
  • Improved marketing via a shared village website and events
  • Access to e-marketing and website development training.

We are keen to meet local businesses to discuss our ideas and would like to invite you to attend a meeting on Thursday 21st February 2013 at 6pm in Acle.  If you would like to attend, please e-mail office@inghampinnock.com or call us on 0797 436 3991 for further details by the end of January.

Yours faithfully

Kate Pinnock
