Heydon Estate: Church Farm Barns project complete

Back in 2014 we worked with the new Principal at Heydon to prepare an Estate Strategy to help guide the long-term future of this extraordinary part of Norfolk. One of the proposed projects in the Strategy was to restore the Church Farm Barns in the centre of the village to provide much needed employment space for local people and make better use of an unrealised asset. We subsequently worked with the Principal to prepare an application to the EU LEADER programme for capital to fund the restoration and we were thrilled that the project was awarded a grant last year.

With a few minutes to spare on a visit to another client earlier this month, we visited Heydon to take a look at progress. We were hugely pleased and perhaps just a little bit proud to see the restoration project complete to a very high standard and some wonderful tenants (The Wallflower & Wallace) in place. A great example of a how a strategy can create a sound basis for securing grant funds and delivering a meaningful result for all concerned.
